You are about to send money to a company on the other side of the world for a car you have only seen in photographs. Doubt here is not suspicion, it is common sense. We would ask the same question in your place, so we answer it not with “trust us” but with things you can check.
Who we actually are
ADN Group Stock Co. is the trading name of ADN GROUP Co., Ltd., a Japanese company registered in Toyama prefecture (Imizu city, Tsubatae 663). The company has operated since 2004 as a licensed used-car dealer and exporter, is registered as an exporter under number 9230001006122 (Exporter Reference No. — the same as its corporate number): under that number we are listed in the register of Japan’s National Tax Agency — open it and compare the name and the address. We have been a member of JUMVEA, the Japan Used Motor Vehicle Exporters Association (approved by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry), since 2007 — member number 000734. This is not a pop-up set up for Cyprus: the team in Japan has been buying cars from Japanese dealers and at auction and shipping them worldwide for twenty years; Cyprus is one of the destinations. We have a Google Maps listing — with photos of the yard, the sign with the company name and logo, and Street View: you can walk around the place without leaving Cyprus.

Nick, our representative and the person you are writing to, has lived in Cyprus since 2022 and has run the Cyprus side since 2023. He is not a middleman between you and “some people in Japan” — he is part of the company, which is exactly why every document, invoice and payment goes through one legal entity.
Where the money goes
The most important part, so step by step — exactly as written in our Terms and FAQ:
- Once the car is found — you pay 50% of our fee to our representative in Cyprus. This lets us buy the car on your behalf.
- After the purchase — we issue an invoice for the car price, FOB (Japan-side costs) and freight to Cyprus. It is paid by bank transfer to the ADN Group Stock Co. company account at a Japanese bank. Not to a private card, not through an “agent”, not in crypto.
- When the car is in Cyprus — the remaining 50% of the fee, again to our representative in Cyprus. The Cyprus-side costs — duty, VAT, port release, MOT, SVA and registration — go either through the representative as well or, if you prefer to be present in person, you pay them yourself at each office. Whichever you find more convenient.
Look at the second step again: the main amount goes to a legal entity’s account, and you are left holding an invoice with the company’s details and your bank’s transfer confirmation. If anything ever went wrong, you would have documents naming a specific Japanese company — not a messenger chat.
And look at the fee: you pay half of it only when the car is already standing in Cyprus. We have no interest in anything going wrong.
Here are the details themselves — the same ones that will be on your invoice. Note the beneficiary: a company, not a person.

The company’s bank details in Japan
- Bank
- SUMITOMO MITSUI BANKING CORPORATION
- SWIFT
- SMBCJPJTXXX
- Bank address
- 1-1-2 MARUNOUCHI CHIYODA-KU TOKYO JAPAN
- Branch
- TOYAMA BRANCH
- Branch address
- 1-1-23 CHUODORI TOYAMA-SHI TOYAMA-KEN JAPAN
- Account number
- 0786***
- Beneficiary
- ADN GROUP STOCK CO.
- Beneficiary address
- 663 TSUBATAE 934-0038 IMIZU-SHI TOYAMA-KEN JAPAN
The last three digits of the account number are hidden on purpose: you will get the full details on your invoice, and nobody can assemble “our” account from public data. Check your invoice against this block — bank, SWIFT, branch and beneficiary must match.
What you receive at every stage
You are never left in the dark: at every stage a document or a set of photos lands in your hands.
- Right after the purchase — the purchase confirmation from the iAuction platform, showing which car was bought and for how much. We forward it to you straight away.
- When the car reaches the port — we photograph it from every angle, outside and in, and send you the photos. It travels to the port on a car carrier, never driven.
- When the export certificate is issued — the car is struck off the Japanese register for export, and the transport bureau issues the export certificate. We send you the scan the moment it reaches us.
- As soon as the booking is confirmed — the bill of lading, the key document of any sea shipment. It is issued in your name as consignee (our Cyprus representative is the notify party), and we pay it immediately: what we hold is a bill of lading stamped surrendered — paid — and you receive the scan.
- While the car is at sea — the tracker, available 24/7: enter your invoice number and see the delivery status and, on a live map, the position of the vessel carrying your car.
- Once the vessel has sailed from Japan — the originals go to Cyprus by DHL, and it is the whole file, not a couple of sheets: the export certificate in Japanese; its English translation; our own declaration as the exporter that we are proficient in both languages and that the translation is accurate, endorsed by a representative of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce & Industry; the bill of lading in your name; the invoice; the auction sheet with the condition grade; the iAuction extract showing what the car was bought for; and the declaration that the product satisfies the origin criteria under the Japan–EU EPA — the one piece of paper that turns the 10% duty into zero on a Japanese-built car. Our representative in Cyprus holds the package and hands it to you together with the car.
Legally the car is yours from the second it drives onto the vessel. It is insured for the whole voyage; the insurance is included in the freight.

You see what we see
Almost every car — 99% — we buy at a fixed price (one price) from ASNET, Japan’s largest dealer stock, which every car dealer in the country is connected to. Only authorised dealers and exporters have access; ASNET does not show its lots to the public. No bidding, no waiting: the car is bought the moment you decide. Each one has been inspected independently under the AIS system and comes with an official inspection sheet and grade. We send you the original sheet with a translation — before the purchase, not after.
Prices do not need to be taken on faith either. The Available to Order page shows live dealer stock, updated in real time, and next to every lot is an estimated turnkey price built by the same calculator as on the homepage: car price, FOB, freight, duty, VAT, Cyprus costs, our fee. Every line is visible; nothing is hidden inside “shipping”.
One caveat: the site shows only part of the stock. If you have not found your car there, write to us and we will check ASNET directly — it holds far more options than our public stock.
What we do not promise
An honest answer about trust also has to cover what we will not do.
- We do not talk you into auctions. We can take part in them, but in our experience they are slower, there is no guarantee of winning, and they give no real advantage over dealer stock — neither in price nor in how well the car is graded. Besides, cars appear in the ASNET dealer stock even before they reach the auctions — dealers list them there first. So by default we offer one-price: the price you see is the price.
- We do not name an exact arrival date before the booking is secured. Plan for 3–4 months, and here is what that is made of. The purchase itself takes anywhere from a couple of minutes to a day. Then comes the biggest uncertainty in the whole process: waiting for the freight booking to be confirmed. The lines are busy, and that can take one to two months. The voyage itself is about two months, and it varies too — one vessel calls at more ports on the way, another at fewer, and the car does not always travel from Japan to Cyprus on a single ship: it is often transshipped to another vessel on the way, most often in Malta, at the port of Valletta. The exact date is known only once the specific booking is secured, and anyone promising “six weeks” right away, before there is even a booking, either does not know what they are talking about or is not being straight with you. Once the booking is confirmed the sailing is known: we give you the estimated arrival date in Cyprus, and the same date appears in your tracker along with the vessel on the map.
- We do not pass off the site’s figures as final. Everything you see on the cards, in the calculator and in chat is an estimate, and here is why. Freight on the cards is worked out from that model’s own exterior dimensions at the shipping line’s per-m³ tariff — an average figure stands in only for a model our table does not yet know — and the car price in euro is converted from yen at the Google EUR/JPY rate at the moment you look. Once we have settled on a specific car, the estimate gives way to a real calculation for that car: you receive an invoice with the actual purchase price, FOB (the Japan-side costs) and the freight confirmed for the actual sailing — all of it in yen, the currency you actually pay in. From there only one thing can still move the euro total: your bank converts at its own rate on the day of the transfer, not at Google’s, and charges its own fee, which we do not know and do not include. The difference is small: it is an exchange-rate margin, not a hidden charge.
- A purchase is final. Once the car is bought, the purchase cannot be cancelled and the advance applied to it is non-refundable. We say this upfront because that is how the Japanese market works, not us.
A simple thing to watch for
If anyone names an exact arrival date before the car is even bought, promises an “auction” price far below the market, or asks you to send the money for the car to a personal card — that is a reason to ask more questions. Of anyone, including us.
Verify us in ten minutes
You do not have to believe this article. Here is what you can check yourself, right now.
- Exporter Reference No.
9230001006122— also the company’s corporate number. Here is our record in the Japanese National Tax Agency’s register: 株式会社ADN GROUP / ADN GROUP Co., Ltd., Tsubatae 663, Imizu, Toyama — the same address as on the map and in the footer of this site. (The number’s assignment date is 2015: that is when Japan introduced corporate numbers for every company at once, not our founding date.) The same number finds us in the Japanese exporter databases. - JUMVEA membership since 2007, member number 000734 — our page in the association’s directory, with the Japanese office phone numbers: jumvea.or.jp/members/ADNGroup-758.
- Our base in Japan on Google Maps — open the listing: photos of the yard, the ADN GROUP sign, Street View and reviews. The address on the map matches the one in the register.
- Cyprus is not our only route. We also ship cars to the United States, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Russia and Canada. Some countries publish their import records, and the United States is one of them: every bill of lading filed with US customs becomes public. Open our page in that database and you will see our shipments listed one by one — vessel, arrival date, port of loading and unloading, consignee — hundreds of them, going back to 2017. That is not a testimonial we wrote about ourselves; it is a customs record we cannot edit.
- Real deliveries — the Recent Deliveries section shows cars that have already arrived in Cyprus, with photos, year, mileage and price. Not stock — delivered cars.
- Ask for the documents before paying. The auction sheet with translation and a draft invoice with the company’s details come before you transfer anything. If we have not sent them, ask.
- Meet us in Cyprus. We have a Cyprus listing on Google Maps too. The representative who will hand you the car and the documents is happy to meet beforehand. And simply call Nick: +357 96 625 371.
- Take the numbers apart. Open any car on Available to Order and look at what the turnkey price is made of: car price, FOB, freight, duty, VAT, Cyprus costs, our fee — every line is visible, nothing is hidden. The written quote we send you is built by the same formula, and any difference we explain line by line.
In place of a conclusion
Trust in this kind of deal is built by how the process is set up, not by words: the money for the car goes to a company account against an invoice, the car is yours and insured from loading, the documents are originals, the fee is split in half and half of it is paid only on arrival. We arranged it this way on purpose, so that you never have to take our word for it. If questions remain after you have checked — ask them.
